The Isle of Wight is a beautiful island located off the south coast of England. It is a popular holiday destination for families, thanks to its stunning beaches, charming villages, and abundance of activities.
In April 2022, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Isle of Wight for a week. We had a wonderful time exploring the island and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Here are some of the activities we enjoyed:
- Visiting the Red Squirrel Sanctuary: The Red Squirrel Sanctuary is home to a population of endangered red squirrels. We had a great time learning about these adorable creatures and watching them play in their natural habitat.
- Hiking along remote beaches: We enjoyed several lovely hikes along some of the Isle of Wight's remote beaches. The beaches were deserted and the views were stunning.
- Visiting the Needles: The Needles are three iconic rock stacks located off the coast of the Isle of Wight. We took a boat trip to the Needles and enjoyed stunning views of the rocks and the surrounding coastline.
- Going on a steam train ride: We took a steam train ride from Ryde to Shanklin. It was a fun and nostalgic way to see the island.
- Going on National Trust curated walks: We went on several National Trust curated walks in the countryside. These walks were a great way to explore the island's natural beauty and learn about its history.
We had a wonderful time on our family holiday to the Isle of Wight. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation.
